There are 161 places to eat in Madrid on my map, from Spanish restaurants to the odd tapas spot and café. Most are spread across Centro (43), Salamanca (34) and Chamberí (34), with others in Chamartín, Retiro and outer areas like Moncloa-Aravaca and Arganzuela.
The list covers lunch and dinner spots, plus a few bars for drinks and cafés for coffee and a snack. Some of the places that stand out on the map include El cisne azul, Sylkar and Las Margaritas - Casa de Comidas, though I haven't marked any Madrid spot as a must-try yet.
